"Claque"

claque; klak/noun

1. a group of sycophantic followers.
"the president was surrounded by a claque of scheming bureaucrats"

2. a group of people hired to applaud (or heckle) a performer or public speaker.

There was a claque at tRumps "press conference" today. They stood in place of his rally thugs.. cheering at the "cheer" lines and clapping whenever he declared his greatness.

It was distracting and disturbing. (None of the news agencies has mentioned it, so I thought I would)
