I have to admit that if I meet someone who seems very mean, it's pretty much a sure bet that they're Republican.

There's probably a few "kinder, gentler" Republicans out there too, I suppose. I had a Republican manager years ago who didn't like Bush Sr. bringing up a "kinder, gentler nation."
