Republican Rob Portman's ad made this Dem vote early

I live in Ohio where we have early voting. I was going to the store yesterday when I heard a Rob Portman for Senate ad come on the radio. It almost made me puke. It was pure right-wing bull crap. So much so, that I Immediately changed my direction for the early voting center and voted against him and all the other republicans on the ticket. It made me feel good.

Yep - if it's the one I'm hearing, it shows what he thinks is important to win Ohio. CincyDem Oct 2016 #1

Line 1: He's protected the rights of gun owners throughout the country.
Line 2: He's committed to the life of the unborn.
Line 3: He's Rob Portman and he's our Senator.

and it continues with some blah blah blah...all straight off the Rush webpage, I'm sure.

Too bad so many Ohioans seem content sending this guy back to DC. I'll never understand how we have Brown and Portman from the same electorate.

When Portman was in Bush's cabinet he found out that blue collar workers die before they can collect their benefits. So instead of being pro life and try to do something like heath care or safety in the workplace he told companies they could save money and contribute less to the pension and social security because the workers were just going to die anyway. He quit the cabinet post early. He was being groomed to be president.

when the Koch's PAC decided to start spending on Senate races, the first place they invested was Ohio for Portman. I think he's 59 so he'll be in the sweet spot for 2020 and he's been in training for a decade or more. I suspect there won't be any old video/audio tapes on this guy and he's smooth.

Of course he'll have to fight Kasich but I suspect the party will explain the facts of life to John and he'll be left to consider going 3rd party or watching Portman get the nomination.

Scary guy.

Distanced himself from Trump we will have to watch the GOP civil war. I think Kasich might lead one of the sides and Portman is the same slime as Trump. The article about him finding access money is GAO was in The Washington Post a few years ago. Someone needs to get the dirt on why he resigned his post. Another little tidbit was he had the post that would have given USEC loan garantee but he did not do it then complained it was Obama's fault.
