Reading Free Republic these days is my guilty pleasure

Do you really want a belly laugh? Do you want to see real humans burying their head into the sand?

I've always gotten a kick out of reading over there, for years and years. But the past couple of weeks have just been too much.

Not one mention, not one mention, of any poll that shows Sec Clinton winning. Now think about that for a minute, that's takes some serious group mental gymnastics.

But my favorite posts today have been them cautioning each other that the recent polls haven't had time to account for Donald Trump's huge, bigly, debate dominance.

Do yourself a favor, check it out for just ten minutes. I guarantee you will be amazed!

This is what depresses me.

Millions of our fellow Americans; coworkers, neighbors, family members and, yes, even friends, will vote For Donald Trump. The conventional wisdom today is that he will lose.

In elections past, the losing side licked their wounds and went back to the business of being Americans. They may have complained about the person they didn't vote for but nonetheless, for the most part, they returned to peacefully participating in the greater civic community.

Things are different today.

Millions of Americans will never accept Hillary Clinton as their President. With Obama, conservatives liked to say, "he's not my President!" but with Clinton, I believe they're actually going to act on this.

We're becoming a country with separate groups of people who aren't going to see eye to eye on anything; rural/urban, rich/poor, white/non-white and how we come together as one will be perhaps the biggest challenge facing us.

they start taking to the streets if he loses. Trump has been carefully laying the groundwork and egging them on for months now, claiming well in advance that the "election is rigged".

"take to the streets" as their fuhrer directed, while they may cause some violence, these WILL BE, by and large, the stupid ones. Insurrection will be put down swiftly. Just will have to keep an eye on the 'david duke' type. But we have an excellent FBI they are on their game, usually. That toilet of trump will be flushed and I see his empire crumbling around his and his familys feet.

sewer diving over there. While these mouth-breathers can be amusing from time to time, I findKhan's question about whether his son would have a place in Trump's America to really shine a light on what a detestable bunch of critturs they really are. Hillary was wrong to call half of them a 'basket of deplorables'. It's not half - it's the whole fucking bunch!

On Edit: Perhaps some have not yet seen the Hillary ad which discusses Mr. Khan's question about his hero son. Here is the link to it:

Here are some of the 'classier' Freeper responses to Mr. Khan's heartbreaking question about his son having a place in Trump's America:

Another turd that needs flushing!

STFU you TERRORIST!!!

His son would. Khan should be deported to a sharia law sh*thole

Muzzie Bastard. There’s no place in MY America for his (Gold Star Daddy) thieving SHYSTER LAWYER ASS. Screw him.

This man is a disgrace.

This puke is a sharia law “scholar” which is completely incompatible with the Constitution. If libs interpret freedom of religion as freedom from religion (wrong) then it goes eleventy zillion times more for the death cult of Islam (ptui)

ASSHOLES!!!!!

Absolute denial. Been peaking the last few weeks too.

I've read some hilarious posts in there. Stuff like, "Trump is easily ahead by 12-15 points."

Also read many scary posts about jailing Hillary for life and hoping Trump brings back torture for Hillary. Sick people.

What is worse than that is listening to right wing radio on regular A.M radio. That is my guilty pleasure. Listening to Trump supporters alarming their right wing comrades who are labeled: Never trump! Is tragically funny. In their delusional brains they think that Hillary is going make the USA another CUBA if they don't vote for Trump.
