Donald Trump has, for at least the second time in two days, suggested that he didnt sexually assault a woman because she was too unattractive.
Believe me, she would not be my first choice, Trump said. That I can tell you.
Trump made a similar comment yesterday. Speaking about another one of his accusers, he said, Look at her. Look at her words. You tell me what you think. I don't think so.

So, a woman more attractive -- in his eyes -- WOULD be his first choice to sexually assault?????

(82,849 posts)You grope the women you are within arm's reach of, not the women you wish you could grope.
From the accounts, I'm getting the impression that this is just Donald's way of asking a woman "So baby, what's your sign?" From his privileged, protected position, he's pretty sure that his clumsy gambits weren't going to rebound on him, and he's largely right. Women know that it's just not worth the trouble to complain about the behavior, because their own behavior is what gets fly-specked, and the groper just fires up the gaslight: Oh, it was no big deal; I just slipped; I never meant to make contact with your private parts; you're not pretty enough to assault; if you didn't want to be molested, then why did you leave your house with your vagina?
Individual cases are pretty hopeless. But now we have more than an isolated incident; we have several women coming forward, all with variations on a skeevy scheme. We also have two other added elements: Donald Trump's own words over the years, and his actions in front of other people (specifically, going backstage at his beauty pageants to catch the contestants in various stages of undress).

(1,907 posts)Because that's what he did. It's the same as his bus tour he was admitting it. But I haven't really seen that brought up in the news.

(17,199 posts)When Trump said he couldn't have sexually assaulted her because she wasn't attractive enough, he was basically admitting he had assaulted women who he did find attractive. Lawrence said it's like a bank robber being asked if he had ever robbed a bank and saying, "I didn't rob THAT bank."
