That's how algorithms work. It's the same reason sometimes weird things show up for black pictures/picture labelling.

(135,425 posts)If you keep scrolling sideways (the pictures), you see some white ones, too: Edison, Bell, Morse, Tesla, Whitney, etc. Damn few women, and I stopped scrolling before I found an Asian-Pacific Islander....
I think this result is based on who is googled the most, or something. Or maybe it is to do with the opening of the museum today on the mall.
Why are you sad? I think it's a point of pride that America has had so many brilliant black inventors, and I'm glad they're finally getting their due. Their recognition has been delayed, but it can no longer be denied.
I'll be honest, I know as much about Carver as Bell. I knew nothing about this lady, the inventor of the "cabinet bed!" They should make those for NYC apartments! The FIRST AA woman to receive a patent, too!
