Reporters Retaliate Against Trump’s Treatment of Press, Destroy Footage of Hotel Tour

The press pool for Donald Trump made the unprecedented collective decision to refuse to air footage of a tour of Trump’s new hotel, even erasing the tape to ensure it never became public.
Trump announced Friday morning that he would be giving a “press conference” in his new D.C. hotel on the birther issue. When reporters arrived, they discovered that the press were being forced to sit in the back of the room. The “press conference” turned out to be a half an hour of veterans praising Trump, sprinkled with advertisements for the hotel, followed by an extremely brief comment from Trump on the actual topic at hand.

Trump took no questions and left the room, leading to angry shouts from the duped reporters.

Perhaps the old saw will finally come to fruition.

"Never start a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel."

Not a lot of literal ink in the business lately, but the gist of the argument should still hold. Trump played the media, again, this morning, and they should be pissed.

Hey press, this is your own karma coming back at you. For way too long you have been cowardly Sycophants in Trump's entourage. Crawl out of the basket of deplorables. Stand up tall and demand some respect and common social decency. And while you're at it, insist that everyone else in this country be treated with respect. You have the power to shun and shame all those, who act and speak deplorably. If you tolerate disrespect, don't be surprised when that's what you're given.

I am STUNNED. The press has been guilty of flagrant malpractice FOR YEARS. FINALLY they're waking up?

Pardon me if I remain in disbelief for awhile. I'm glad to see this, but I'm having a hard time trusting it. I fully expect they'll snap out of it at some point soon, and go back to their "not my job" stance against vigilant fact-checking. So much easier just to give the liars a free pass than to DO THEIR JOBS. And it's been so thoroughly one-sided if they ever do. How many times have we speculated - "what if this were Clinton?"

For example, I bet that Newsweek bombshell about Trump's funky business dealings is gonna just fade away. It's already over. Imagine if that were a Clinton story. They'd still be beating it to death a year from now.

before the recent uproar, which apparently has faded to nothing, this is how the coverage of CGI vs. Bondi went:

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/how-much-did-cable-news-cover-trumps-pay-to-play-vs-clinton-foundation-story/

The contrast between these two stories has spurred many to observe that not only is Hillary Clinton being raked over the coals for what everyone agrees is, at worst, something that “looks bad,” but Donald Trump’s clearly illegal act involving a clear allegation of quid pro quo is barely being covered. That disparity, it turns out, has a number.

In a search of cable news transcripts for the past month, there have been 644 mentions of the “Clinton Foundation” and “pay to play” on the three major cable news networks. The breakdown is as follows (according to TVEyes):

CNN 207

Fox News 335

MSNBC 102

Conversely, the number of times “pay to play” and “Pam Bondi” have been mentioned together during that time is just 11,

5 on CNN and 6 on MSNBC.

And in case you’re wondering if the Pam Bondi story got more traction when it first came out, you’re right, it did. Prior to August, there were 15 mentions of Bondi and Donald Trump, none of which included the phrase “pay to play,” according to a transcript search.

they just don't want to cover him in a serious way, by concentrating rabidly on ONE story at a time, exactly how they've done with, first, the emails, then CGI. those two stories constitute the Swiftboating of Hillary, this time ENTIRELY by the media, in contrast to the original fiasco, which was originated with funding by that greedhead maniac T Boone Pickens.

that's what caused trump to catch up so dramatically quickly in the polls. the preponderance of average news consumers doesn't believe her anymore, and it's never going to change, whether or not she wins.

MSM did it all on their own this time, without the help or prompting of the right wing maniacs that try to pull the strings behind the scenes, unless you count among them those who run the media conglomerates.

oh....wait a minute.....

The guy is about himself.

Want to know the biggest difference between him and Hillary? She's always about give, give, give. He's always about take, take, take.

What has he ever personally donated his time for? Nothing. He's NEVER given his time to any good cause. Hillary always devotes time to donating her time, blood, sweat and tears for others.

THAT'S THE DIFFERENCE.

claiming that Trump did this to screw with the media since he is such a master manipulator.

I heard it on the radio and drove up 12th St. right in front of the Trump international hotel and there was hardly anyone there, just reporters.

Many retired military leaders and veterans support Hillary and we saw it on our very patriotic Dem convention.

If it makes a difference, first Bernie and now Gary Johnson get the lion's share of active duty military support, not Trump.
