... Trump didnt distance himself from Baldarsaro. Rather, he praised him. Two days ago, Think Progress reported, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has confirmed that his adviser who once called for Hillary Clintons execution is still part of the campaign Al has been so great, Trump said. Wheres Al? Wheres my vet?

(17,199 posts)And they're talking about the race tightening.
No surprise. We knew that was coming.
(And there's Andrea Mitchell asking Ann Coulter, who came on to talk about her book, to comment on how the Weiner story hurts Hillary.)

gratuitous
(82,849 posts)The smallest, most insignificant things can set them off. It's practically unpredictable to tell in advance what's going to do it, either. A lapel pin? Not putting your hand over your heart? Talking too loudly, or too softly? Being a rank amateur? Being too coolly professional? It can be anything.
The corollary to this ultra-sensitivity is that they think everyone else is suffering from the same case of political shingles. You can practically see the thought balloon in the laughable video of the guy burning the Kaepernick jersey while singing the national anthem: "I'm really pissed about Colin Whatshisname! Here, I'll burn his jersey, and that'll make the flag-burners as pissed off as I am. And I'll sing the national anthem while I do it! That'll really make 'em mad! Ah haw, haw, haw!"
For the cartoon, you can just hear the clank of the cartoonist's mental gears: "Oh, they don't like the fine traditions of minstrelsy and performing in blackface? Well, I'll make Hitlery up in blackface! That'll make 'em soooooo grrr mad! I'm such an innovative, rebel talent. Why isn't my work better syndicated?"

I am not sure how MSNBC host Kristen Welker endured well over five minutes of Trump surrogate and pastor Mark Burns utterly losing his mind and screaming at her when she asked him to defend (his) tweet.
Yes, that is Hillary Clinton in blackface, and it's offensive on so many levels. Welker was doing her best to get this "pastor" to admit that it was unhelpful to an overall discussion about racism.
But instead of defending that tweet, Burns decided just to shout as loud as he could about whatever he felt like shouting about. I've included a small clip of Burns' tirade above, but it actually went for well over five minutes.

(14,852 posts)I knew about the weird Trump surrogate, but I'd never heard of that Branco cartoonist.
Here's a little bio about him:
http://comicallyincorrect.com/about-a-f-branco/
<snip>
His cartoons have already gained an international audience. His popular appeal among conservatives recently led to an interview on FOX News.
The bio also tries to paint him in a positive light by comparing him to cartoonists of old who fought for progress. WRONG!
After looking at a few other cartoons by him, I'd compare him more to cartoonists who drew this kind of garbage:
This is him:

(27 posts)But this is par for the course for Trump and his ilk. They revel in their hatred and bigotry, and feel that they are superior to everyone. These childish antics won't be enough to get Trump the votes he desperately needs, and he knows this. It seems like he is determined to piss off everybody in America before he is soundly defeated.
