Juan Williams and Michelle Malkin ended up taking shots at each other during a shouting match about the investigation into White House leaks on Wednesday's "Hannity."
Attorney General Eric Holder recently appointed two U.S. attorneys Ronald Machen and Rod Rosenstein to lead probes into leaks of classified national security information to the media. On Tuesday, he rebuffed Republicans' demands to appoint a special counsel instead.
On Wednesday, Sean Hannity echoed the party's position that Machen, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, was too partisan for the case because he has donated to President Obama.
Williams dismissed those charges. "There is no conflict of interest," he said, explaining that anyone can donate to candidates. He also noted that the other attorney leading the investigation is a Republican.
Malkin vehemently disagreed. "Only in Obama world do people like Juan Williams not see the gobsmackingly naked and clear conflict of interest," she said. "Ronald Machen was not merely someone who had given thousands of dollars to Barack Obama, he owes his career, his very first job as a federal prosecutor to whom? Eric Holder."
