I don't care who wrote the speech. Melania Trump is responsible for it.

Who here would be in her position - and not make damn sure what you're about to say is legitimate? No way in hell I'd trust a speechwriter; I'd be checking the speech for plagiarism myself. If the words come from my mouth to the ears of millions, I own them forever.

Maybe she lives her life being told what to do, no questions asked. That would explain how she got herself in such a pickle.

But then again, maybe Melania knew her speech was stolen and didn't care...maybe she's as awful as her husband.

To start off with, Trump's campaign isn't run the way campaigns normally are. One of them even said he runs it just like his show, the Apprentice. I'm picturing it went down like this. He thinks everyone will love his wife no matter what, so no big deal it's just a speech. So he points at that guy over there, he's good with words. He'll write it. This random guy's eyes get real big in a "Who, me?" moment. No one bothers to check it and off to the tele-prompter it goes. I think it's entirely possible that none of them knew it was plagiarized except the person who wrote it until the story broke because they're all following along in the Trump show.

"with some help." She owns this. She doesn't get a pass because she's a fucking model. A man wouldn't get a pass. Hillary for damn sure wouldn't have gotten a pass.
