President Bush has embarked on a widely heralded visit to Africa, but early in his presidency he seemed to have little interest in the region.

An appearance in Göteborg, Sweden, on June 14, 2001, did little to change that impression. "Africa is a nation that suffers from incredible disease," he said

I'd like to learn a new language. I started learning Latin so Incould speak to people on Latin America, but it was too hard. Maybe Belgian is easier?

A game show called "Prejudice" (i think) and one of the questions was "What is the best derogatory term for a Belgian?"

Answers were "Sprouts", "Fat, Ugly Stinking Belgians", and the winner was:
"I can't think of anything more insulting than Belgians."

Been a long time since i thought of that bit.

I have some old VHS tapes of them. I've got a ultra-cheap VHS and DVD combo in an upstairs bedroom and i go up there once in a while to watch them.

A lot of the sketches still ring fresh.

but, and this is the first and likely only time I will be able to say this, Dumbya is too smart to do it.

The 22nd Amendment states that a President can only be ELECTED twice. There is some legal argument as to whether this disqualifies him from serving as VP, with the possibility of becoming President or of resigning in favor of the Speaker of the House if there is a resignation or death of the President.

But there is a big legal loophole in the term ELECTED. Someone who becomes President by resignation, like Gerald Ford, is not elected. And, Ford could have resigned himself and let the Presidency pass to Carl Albert (wouldn't that have been great!). So, would Dumbya be eligible to be president for a third term if he is the running mate of someone elected to be President but could then become president NOT via election or could simply resign and let the Speaker ascend? Legally unclear, though I think the intent was to not allow this. Sloppy legal drafting of the 22nd, IMHO.
