FOX/Cavuto: Cut union pensions because they don’t need ‘Chateaubriand’ steak every night

Fox News host Neil Cavuto says that it’s time for state and local governments to begin cutting union pensions because people don’t need to have expensive Chateaubriand steaks “every night.”

.............

“Most Americans in the private sector don’t even have these benefits,” Cavuto argued.

“They should have them,” Leser pointed out.

“Yeah, we should all have Chateaubriand every night, but we don’t,” Cavuto shot back. “We don’t have that option. Let’s wake up in the real world.”

...and I know a lot of Union folk. My dad was a teamster. He had a pension, and we were comfortable, but we didn't eat steak except rarely, and they were walmart steaks.
Where do these morons come up with this shit?!

3. I doubt any public sector workers know howto prepare chateaubriand at home

It's a type of cut of sirloin with a wine-based sauce and shallots. Therefore Cavuto is surely referring to the fact that public sector workers go to a French restaurant every night. Maybe Gordon Gecko could dine at $200 a plate with wine. But he surely can't be talking about cops, court clerks, school teachers and the like. I don't think they can even afford McDonald's grease burgers every night.

Everyone should be propagating that meme. Why cut union wages, instead let's raise everyone else's wages!!!

And I did not pay for it myself. At that time, I was dating a very well-off Jewish guy. I would not eat it now as I am a vegetarian.

Elimination of minimum wage. I can already hear them whining about freeing up the job market for businesses.

I hope Cavuto eats Chateaubriand every night. Because since he doesn't understand the health implications of this his arteries will become clogged and he will suffer a heart attack. Hopefully it will not be fatal but one to learn of his mistakes.

Sorry to be so negative but this tool needs a reality check. People living on union pensions are hardly living the life of luxury such as RMoney or others that haven't done squat in years.

11. I'm on a union pension

and I've never even heard of chateaubriand steaks. My pension which by the way I worked very hard for, affords me a decent lifestyle but I have to be very careful with my money, cut corners, use coupons and shop at sales. My husband and I lead a very simple life and it pisses me off to think some idiot like Cavuto knows what's in my pension check and what I spend it on.
