The Republican War on Women continues in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The Oklahoma Republican state senator who authored the bill that would effectively outlaw abortion in the state said Saturday that he hasn't decided whether he'll try to override the governor's veto.
"I have not made a decision," Sen. Nathan Dahm, of Broken Arrow, told The Associated Press. "That's what we're pursuing, what we'd like to see accomplished."

(23,156 posts)1. I'm reminded a lot of what it was alike in the years before Roe v Wade.
Women did have abortions. A woman who does not want to continue a pregnancy will do almost anything to bring it to an end. Often those means are terribly destructive to the woman. Sometimes women died. Sometimes they were left unable to ever have a baby, a wanted child.
This is what Republicans want to go back to.

(61,691 posts)2. They want women to punish themselves, just as
That asshole Trump declared he wanted. Self-aborting is the punishment for wanting an abortion, at least to the misogynists.
