evidently most Arkansas guys did not score very good on it. But I failed the hearing tests 3 times. One of the recruiters drove me across town to a doctor for a test. Still flunked it. I would have flunked basic anyway with heart problems and asthma. But I got a new man card that said I was 1Y after they tried to draft my ass after rejecting enlistment. But my local draft board got it straightened out. But I still had my man card.

Arkansas was 21. I did my Selma thing at 17 and got my drinking card at 18 and started with AT&T at 19 and my clearance at 20.

plus a discount on everything you buy. Make that a white man's card and issue it to a baby born in any upper middle class suburb and it's a ticket to Easy Street.

Yeah, there's a Men's Card. They all have one but most of them never realize it's there because it's normal to them.

It is not all men are created equal - it is all men and women - all women and men.

Until we all correct the language - I tell young women all the time - it's women and men for you and it's OK the guys say men and women. You have to destroy the assumption of who comes first - we can do it together.

are created equally. I think we have more intelligence, fortitude and abilities. They may be stronger, but not necessarily smarter. I'm sure I'll be slammed as a "man hater" although I am not. But, as they say, truth is truth.

The problem is that now, women no longer want to have it chained around the necks as a reminder of her place in the world.
