Now, it's true that about half the riots in US history have been race riots, but that's a side effect of special race/poverty conditions in American communities. If you go over Wikipedia's list of civil unrest in American history (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_incidents_of_civil_unrest_in_the_United_States) you'll see about half involve caucasian rioters.
