Drag Queens could do a Drag In in North Carolina

Just what would happen if a concerted effort by drag queens to use the men's room in the State Capital? It certainly would garner significant press and expose the absurdity of the gender law. Drag queens make conservatives very uncomfortable and if it happened enough I think they would run back to the legislature and repeal the bill. I know this sounds silly but I certainly would like to hear your comments.

I have seen some amazing drag queen shows in Provincetown Mass and In Key West FL ----these people are very much men ----and certainly by birth ---so a large contingent could stage a walk in and join up with women dressed in a similar fashion ---it would confuse the hell out of the gender police and really cause such a national flap that North Carolina and it's silly law would be the laughing stock----it would go viral I am certain

If there is any buildup to and that buildup became known.... It's America and we do have a lot of nuts who have guns and more and more often they are not afraid to use them.

NC Democrats voted for that law. Why in the world should innocent people risk arrest and attack to protest a law that was supported by Hillary endorsing mainstream Democrats, a set of Democrats Sec Clinton has not seen fit to disavow as yet, she welcomes and embraces the endorsements of these bigots. Let her take a fucking stand for once.

and it would just aid to the general confusion that people have about trans people.

drag queens are literally men in dresses, and therefore confusing them to trans people, might bolster this 'no men in dresses in the bathroom' argument.

the law says that you must use the bathroom as identified on your birth certificate-----because this is so extreme there very well could be a solution with an extreme protest---transgender friends of mine think this would help if the absurdity of the law was more pronounced ------the loss of the NBA finals is big-----but an in your face drag queen contest in all the major cities could do a lot more

adding to the confusion of what is trans, will not in the short or long term help trans people.

in general, if you want to help a community, you should listen to them. in my experience, the one thing trans people hate is to be confused with drag queens.

i'm not saying your intention is bad, i am just saying your tactic isn't appropriate.

as a tool to dismantle ignorance and hate----creating discomfort for those people who do this type of legislation would work. Just a few years ago I saw a GOP friend of mine use the tired gesture of a limp wrist when he talked about gay people. It was only after some real embarrassment that he began to change. Today when I point that out to him as a reminder of his ability to change I am met with a lot less resistance. It would be considered inappropriate in my business circles to point out such a display---but I did ---and it has created some change.
