and the total votes counted so far are only, divided between walker and Barrett is around 1 million. Shouldn't there be 1 million votes for Barrett?

(36,063 posts)The exit polling comes from all over the state. The actual results are used to truth/estimate the uncertainty from the polling. Once the certainty is sufficient they can declare a winner. That's what they've done. It's over.

(23,738 posts)Reports from Milwaukee television and eyewitnesses in Milwaukee were saying that people were still waiting in line to vote. Still are, if the reports are correct. They ran out of ballots in Milwaukee in a number of precincts.

So, if you double that, which is likely, he'll end up with over one-million votes.
