Anybody know how to get rid of those Yahoo instant messages?

Everytime I check my email I have to wade through those damned things. I keep blocking them and I've explored every option I can come up with to make them stop to no avail.

All those people (spammers) I don't know from Adam be gettin' on my las' nerve, ya'll.

Get another email account elsewhere. Gmail has proven to be pretty reliable for me, but I'm sure there are many others out there.

to click that gets rid of them all.

Or, you can just stop using Yahoo! Google is bad enough, but Yahoo! is downright republican. Besides, their software is just terrible.

But it's just kind of home at this point. I've been there so long, my whole life is tangled up in there.

I'm kind of pissed at google after the whole privacy flap (even though I do have a gmail account ... that I never use). I switched to duckduckgo because they don't monitor your movements the way google does. I've been pretty well pleased with them.

user info. Startpage.com is another good one, but neither has the goodies you get from the data sellers.

Oh, and I didn't mention that startpage.com uses the Google engine, it just anonymizes you and blocks the customization/tracking stuff.

Secure, proxies, no IP tracking.

For mail, I've taken to using mail.com. I call my other emails (yahoo, hotmail, etc.) 'spam magnets', and use them for anything and everything other than human beings I've met face-to-face.

If I don't return, remember me to your children. Tell them that, against all odds, I did indeed fight the good fight.

Farewell.

Raise a glass of ale to the stout and hardy Chaska ... and forget me to your children.

Yeah, I found it. There were many perils in the labyrinth but I, the mighty Chaska, did overcome them all.

Thanks to you all, me hale and hearty DUers!
