Contractors nationwide report a surge in orders for taller flagpoles

(United WorldNews Daily) Following the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, contractors around the country are reporting a significant increase in orders for taller flagpoles.

"Usually flags are at half-staff when somebody important dies," said contractor Rick Tepfer of Hubbard, Ohio. "But folks want to fly them even higher for some reason."

Scalia was found unresponsive atop a heap of smoking slag with plumes of lava breaching the surface nearby. Employees at the resort where he was staying described acrid clouds of ash and sulfur surrounding the deceased Justice.

"I saw a black goat running away from the resort right after that," noted a housekeeper who asked not to be identified. "I think it was a goat," she added, crossing herself.

A polarizing figure, Scalia leaves behind a substantial body and a considerable amount of work.
