Just what is it that makes Christmas special?

An old widow lady who is a friend of ours came over and joined the family for Christmas dinner. I was so pleased she came. A little bit ago she called and thanked my wife for the evening. My wife reported that she said it was the nicest Christmas she had had in 15 years, since she lost her good Husband to cancer.

Well, "no shit" I said. "Hell, no one could smoke that much weed in one day and not have had a good time" My god, that woman smokes like a forrest fire - it was a real pleasure to join her.

You know something? They should legalized that stuff.

In my family, Thanksgiving is a far bigger food holiday. Christmas is also a good time to do that. This year I had my family and friends over, all grown ups (a whole nother story I told about in another thread which got some parents incensed).

In any case, I'm glad you do that (invite people who have no place to celebrate).
