Or is your beef simply that pointing out Holder's inaction of voter suppression makes the party look bad in an election year?

If that last one is your point, a good counter argument could be made that the administration's inaction on issues like this could contribute to apathy among some of the Democratic Party base, which could make this election closer than it should be.

Because a caller called in his show also accusing of Holder not doing nothing.Madison is a very good friend of Eric Holder and he said he talked to Holder and the Justice Department is going after these states Joe also said that they have to do this state by state and some of these states that passed these laws don't fall under the voting rights act and Madison also let his listeners know just because the media hasn't reported on it doesn't mean it's not happening.

Seems DU has more vitriol against yet another black man (including the constant skewering of the President) than was dished out against Bushies like Gonzo and Ascroft.

Some here want to tell the enemy every step being made so they can feel comfortable.

Does that make me only half racist?

News flash: Black men are just as capable of being incompetent/corrupt/sell-outs as white men, and no one is going to hold their criticism because a True Believer lazily charges "racism."

You joined in 2008 so you know all about DU during the Bush years, right? Of course, you lurked!

I had the same criticisms of the old white guys who created many of the practices Holder now defends. I do not know what DU site you were on, but there was certainly tens, probably hundreds of thousands of posts critical of Ashcroft and Gonzalez from 2001-2008. I probably wrote a few hundred myself.

"we can kill any American we want" part of the accomplishments.

It is pretty damned hard to be worse than BushCo, but Holder and his boss have managed.

Yeah, they did a few good things, but the evil they did/do far outweighs the good.

Apparently, if you help a little old lady across the street every now and then, pick up litter, recycle, and keep a few minor promises, the fact that you condone murder, torture and fraud can be excused.

And apparently, anyone who objects to that ethical view point is racially motivated.

Who knew?

1) Claimed that a secret committee meeting to decide who can be assassinated meets the legal definition of "due process" as specified in the Constitution?

2) Who is leading the charge to shut down medical marijuana clinics?

3) Who failed to prosecute any real criminals on Wall Street?

4) Who has turned a blind eye to war crimes?

5) Who is okay with warrantless wiretaps?

6) Who until quite recently defended DOMA?

7) Who has been silent on police abuse of protester's civil rights?

8) Who believes in unlimited detention without charge?

9) Who constantly fights to keep evidence of torture secret?

That's just a start, give me some time and I can come up with many more reasons Holder is no friend to civil liberties, justice and the rule of law.

It is nice that he is on the correct side of the voting issue, but in most otehr matters Holder is a disgrace.

Not the least of which is failure to prosecute Bush and Cheney for war crimes, and then he went on to prosecute elderly medical marijuana patients.

If there is a treatment that helps improve the quality of life for the elderly and the sick, I am completely against any action being taken.

I detest Holder for his attacks on MM clinics, and I don't even use it, because I have no reason to use it. He's the equivalent of banning antibiotics because they cure skin diseases, due to the fact that amputating surgeons would suffer a loss of income (like the 1800's) if the limb healed before they needed to cut it off.

I despise Holder and his lackadaisical hand toward law unless it was drug war BS. That is no reflection on Obama, unless he keeps that idiot around for a second term. Holder is an asshole, and never should have been part of President Obama's picks to begin with.
