Big wedding, sister's grand son. Other sister not talking to her. Tried not to get involved. One's a right wing right to lifer the other a liberal but not as left as me. Tried to just talk memories, family updates etc. Got into it a little about how hard it is to find employees that will work, locked doors and guns under the bed. Usual crap.

Near Branson, Mo. Buckle of Bible belt. Everyone there thinks they are supporting everyone else in the country. "Keep working, thousands on welfare are dependent on you."

Seems they can't wrap their heads around Romney though...all that inherited wealth. Had to sell his stock to get through college living in his own house.

Here's where Ron Paul is big...upstate New York.

Gas ranged from $3.79 down to $3.29. In a few more years it will take a richer man than me to pay for the gas for a trip like this one. May have to find a motor scooter.

On the bright side, all three of them that I've spoken to had no idea who he is or what he wants to do, and after a couple of minutes they were interested in learning more.

But I have to say, the Democratic Party is about as popular here as the groom's better looking ex at a wedding, and the party leaders here are completely oblivious.

I haven't seen any Romney bumper stickers either!

Are they waiting for him to pick Donald Trump for his running mate?

And, I live near the Georgia border, and we get lots of traffic from there, too.

Those are now long gone. I recently saw a map from ElectoralVote.com, which aggregates all the polls. They had SC as the pink "leans republican", rather than the usual red "solid republican". Once the rest of the facts that come out about the Mittster, I have a feeling my state will become a toss-up.

No one likes Romney.

Money can pay the media to manufacture consent, but they can't actually make people like him.

He has no ideas. He's a greedy moronic sadistic sociopath. What's not to like?
