Former Walker spokeswoman becomes 13th granted immunity in John Doe 5/31/2012

Fran McLaughlin, who served as Scott Walker’s spokeswoman while he was Milwaukee County exec, was granted immunity today in the ongoing John Doe probe that’s already ensnared some of the guv’s former aides.

Online court records show McLaughlin, now a spokeswoman with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department, appeared in court today with her attorney, Michael A.I. Whitcomb and her request for immunity was granted.

She is the 13th person to be granted immunity in the more than 2-year-old probe that has so far resulted in charges against six people, including three former Walker aides, an Walker appointee and a donor.

I hope this is a case of "If you shoot at a king, you must kill him" by the prosecutor. Otherwise, it seems that a lot of involved parties are getting out of jail for free. Their testimony had better be airtight and unshakeable.
