Elisabeth Hasselbeck to leave 'Fox & Friends'

Good riddance.

Fox & Friends co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving Fox News in order to spend more time with her family, the network announced on Monday.

Hasselbeck, who joined Fox News in 2013 from ABC's "The View," said she wanted to put her career in television on hold while she raises her three children. She will leave the network at the end of the year.

"Elisabeth and I discussed this at length over several weeks, and while I would love for her to continue here, I respect her incredibly difficult, yet deeply personal decision," Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes said. "She has been a great addition to the Fox & Friends franchise."

In Hasselbeck's absence, Fox & Friends will rely on "a variety of rotating co-hosts" to join Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade.

I didn't care for his politics much either. Good football player, though. She was never much more than eye candy spouting the RW rhetoric.

who never played much. Was a backup a few years, don't know it he started anywhere.

Matt was QB for my Seahawks for about 10 years and took us to SBXL*. He's now a backup for Tennessee and has won 3 games in a row at 40 yrs old.

she got her training at the faux noise factory of bs. I told my husband that she sounded exactly like the hasselback on faux and we both just rolled our eyes. So bad.....was just giggling at what was being said by the males on the panel, but then tried to sound so knowledgeable on the running game of the Packers.

12. Is Anyone Really Buying This

I am not completely buying this. Yes, it is possible that she is really leaving to spend more time with her family, but this seems a bit sudden and weird. Hasselbeck's kids are 10, 8, 6. Why does she all of a sudden want to spend more time with her kids? I have heard of women choosing to take time away from work right after they had their kids and then waiting until the kids are school age to return to work. However, all of Hasselbeck's kids are already in school.

Is there any chance that their will soon be an announcement that Hasselbeck and her husband are getting a divorce? Maybe it was just a typo, or the person at FOX who made the announcement got it wrong, but the announcement said "she wanted to put her career in television on hold whileshe raises her three children". It did not say "while she and her husband raise their children". Maybe the release only said she because only Elisabeth works for FOX, but it seems the release could have made more of a reference to her husband. I realize I could be wrong, but I was just wondering.

I think maybe Hasselbach thought that the ish that she was spewing on 'The View' was real. But when she got to her 'news' network of choice, she found that she actually had to read what was on the teleprompter and found out that they were lies. She probably couldn't stomach it and asked FOX to release her from her contract.
