A point of cyberstalking and doxxing

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by DURHAM D (a host of the General Discussion forum).

I know management will not like this... since they shot down brotherivan's note on this. And I expect pretty much for this to be juried, and closed, if not both. Sure whatever.

I have gotten stalked out of here, to other places I post, and one I run. I don't bother telling this to management since management does not give two rips about it. Legally they are correct. There is nothing they can do about it. But it is happening

So one person got a letter at home... ok. We had another who died becuase of this doxing and cyberstalking. I think dying due to lack of funds on hand that are not released by a bank is worst by orders of magnitude but your mileage will vary. And worst is just a matter of degree, becuase you know what... getting these love letters, whether in the mail, the Email system, or the comments section can rattle your cage... especially when they start getting personal such as actual physical addresses.

Some of us just get these love letters from regular people who post at different sites, including this one, regularly. Oh don't worry, they go straight into the IP ban list, and never, ever see the light of day. So you know and maybe you stop bothering (RRRIIIIIGGGHTT!).

But this is happening and has been happening for a LLLLLOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGG time. It did not start this silly season, though this silly season it has gotten worst by orders of magnitude... hell, the earliest of these incidents are way older than any silly season and go to the earliest days of this site. The fact that people even take sides on whether it is or not a form of stalking is a problem, or start to blame victims they do not like is what is disgusting, alas not surprising any more. Nothing surprises me here any more. Oh and unlike the claims on that thread that it was just one person... nope... it is not.

And to the inevitable but prove it!!!! I do not intend to give them the attention they crave. This is way too much attention already and I know I will have to swat a few more flies before the day is over. It is what it is... hey, at least it keeps me busy...

And yes, what happens at OTHER SITES does affect the dynamics here. Not, once again, that I expect management to even acknowledge this.

And with that, I really have to get back to work and take advantage of a quiet afternoon... to watch how the news tries to scare us... they are masters of it by now.
