will get over it. Now the Democratic side may be a little different. I stop posting anything about politics after the election concerning candidates and whoever is still doing it gets dropped again.

It will probably be the same here with the exception of the disastrous situation of a Republican win.

The it may be hell for the people whose candidate won the Democratic nomination and lost the General.

Although if some economists are correct in that the car loan bubble is about to burst like the mortgage bubble did in 2008. It might not be that bad for the Democrats to be out of power and all the blame totally placed on the Republicans back. It could be the death of that party.

They have taken the position they should be kept out.

If anyone changes their mind they will lose face by admit that they were wrong and the other was right.

So, do you value their friendship more than the status of being right?

Will the connection with them benefit you socially or in business? If so, letting the matter drop would be the prudent thing. If not, the satisfaction of expelling someone who you consider immoral would give you great satisfaction, if you are like almost every human.

Weigh your choices.

I have a family member who is bombarding FB with hateful posts about the refugees, among other things.
Yes, as much as I love her, I'm sick of seeing posts about this tragedy.

PS, she is a repub, and a (new) evangelical nut. I don't understand where her current vitriol is coming from. Whether it is Syria, Obama, religion, the posts are offensive to me. Yes, she is a trump supporter.

Since she is my sister, and I have a very small family, I can't unfriend her but I am sure tired of this baloney.
I have to avoid her posts.

Perhaps this picture would hit home.

if you B click on the picture, a page will open and give you the option of seeing "location",
it will be a jpeg of the imgur site I put the pic on.
Just copy and paste the location info into your address bar for a pic, send location to someone.
I would type it out for you, but it will simply post the pic again in this reply.

or

You can simply make a copy of the pic and then paste it into your email to someone.

You can also, if on Facebook, look for Planting Peace and follow them, should you wish.

the pie chart ignores mandatory spending.
About 60 percent of all federal spending is considered mandatory, with 34 percent considered discretionary and 6 percent devoted to interest.

If you included mandatory and discretionary spending, the pie chart would look like this, according to
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/aug/17/facebook-posts/pie-chart-federal-spending-circulating-internet-mi/

can be changed and can be allocated for better uses like ending poverty instead of bombing the world and propping up the MIC. Mandatory spending is fixed so has little to do with this discussion.

They too could not go home.

It is wonderful to extend a humanitarian hand to people whose homes are destroyed by war or who leave because they are threatened by war, by death, by genocide.

We should always be aware that "there but for the Grace of God go I."

That is a fact that every person on earth should remember including those who think they are the law in a country like Syria, those who are destroying the homes of others -- like George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.
