Hilarious- NC GOP are not nice guests at convention at college

I'm sure most of us remember when the Bushies took over the WH and said it was left in shambles from the departing Clintons and their staff. Projection?

THIRD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT BEHAVIOR

Third Congressional District Chair Chris Hardee gives this humorous comparison between the behavior of Democrats and Republicans of the Third District. Both parties held their district conventions at Beaufort County Community College in Washington, NC.

Chris reports: "Based on the Republicans' behavior a few weeks earlier, the college staff insisted on having extra security on site for our May 19th convention. As we left for the day the guards came up and thanked us for being so well behaved (unlike the GOP who left the facility a mess and who were continually smoking in the bathroom.) They were especially appreciative that we gave them some of our subs for lunch. It seems the GOP was more stingy. Shows the difference in values and adherence to the rules between Dems and the GOP!"

4. About 85% of the republicans in rural NC are poor whites who think

they're "entitled" because they support the party of the rich...therefore, that makes them rich, too. And, of course, they all think slavery never should have ended, or they would all have slaves waiting on them hand and foot, as is their entitlement, and it's the liberals who are at fault for that. Naturally.

Washington, NC. Very conservative area. Eastern North Carolina dems, by polls that were done, weren't even in favor of voting for Obama because they just couldn't see a black man in the white house. ..... The good news is, however, that they are polling in FAVOR of him this go around. Now they like him.

We REALLY need to start teaching civics and American history again in the classroom.

one should read Joe Bageant....a libertine who died last year. I read both his books and read his blog as well. He and I exchanged emails a few months before he died.

He could write about these people because he knew them well as he was born in Winchester, Virgina He wrote how the Republican party gets these people to not vote for Democrats....

Check it out. http://www.joebageant.com/

'Deer Hunting with Jesus'. Joe writes with a very entertaining yet cerebral style as he thoroughly analyzed the host of reasons why poor whites are conservatives almost by default. Some of it was downright depressing, but if one wants to know why they do what they do, read that book.

Clean-up is "job creation"! Sharing food is done ONLY with one's peers, NOT underlings.

9. It reminds me of a GOP gathering in a school a couple years ago.

I think it was in Maine. The Republicans had permission to use a high school for a county or state convention over the weekend. On Monday, one of the teachers found that his classroom was missing his poster about the history of the American labor movement. Evidently one of the Republican delegates, taking direct action against the problem that reality has a liberal bias, had absconded with the poster before it could corrupt any more young minds with inconvenient facts.

IIRC the teacher made a stink and eventually recovered his poster, only slightly the worse for wear as a result of its unplanned journey.
