Is Romney off base? "Obama has taken on teachers unions unlike any previous Democratic president."

http://news.firedoglake.com/2012/05/25/obama-campaign-proud-of-bashing-teachers-unions/

<edit>

It looks like we’re going to have six more months of the Obama campaign trying to prove that their candidate has conservative values and believes in conservative ideas. That’s what we can learn from the latest fact check from Deputy Campaign Manager for Obama 2012 Stephanie Cutter.

FACT CHECK: Romney off on Obama’s relationship with teachers’ unions; it’s anything but cozy: http://wapo.st/Lu0nYZ

"Obama has promoted initiatives that encourage districts to tie teacher evaluations to student performance and to expand the number of charter schools — actions the teacher unions have long been against, and which Romney himself promoted Wednesday in a speech in Washington outlining his education platform [...]"

<edit>

“Obama has taken on teachers unions unlike any previous Democratic president,” said Tom Loveless of the Brookings Institution. “Because of that his support among union members, although it is still there, is rather tepid.”

<edit>

But the question becomes, why does Stephanie Cutter, Deputy Campaign Manager for Obama 2012, feel so strongly about needing to broadcast that teachers’ unions don’t like her candidate? Is this a typical approach for campaigns? Don’t you normally want to tout support rather than opposition?

Obama taking on teacher's unions is a huge blunder and plays directly into the hands of the GOP. No Child Left Behind should have been scrapped and Race To The Top should have NEVER been implemented. He should have worked to end vouchering. Now the GOP will be able to indoctrinate new generations of Americans. Here come GOP neonazi youth. The teachers were never really the problem actually. The whole meme of teacher accountability was just a ploy.

I will not vote for Romney, but I feel Obama has stabbed me in the back and he does not care. Arne Duncan is a POS and so is Race to the Top.

Clinton made mistakes by signing the following:
NAFTA, GATT, Welfare Reform and Telecom 96. He advanced a lot of the GOP agenda as a New Democrat. Bipartisanship screwed his own party and no one has challenged him on that crap. Now Obama's blunder will allow the GOP to indoctrinate the younger generations to its agenda.

It makes you want to spit nails.

If you think not, your being fooled by the right wing media and Romney both. Do you hear how Romney sometimes pauses like Reagan? That scares me.
