by a visit from the President, and no Walker Supporter is going to vote for him anyhow. But people on the fence, Independents who lean left eg, might be convinced to go out and vote if they see the President there, making it clear how important this election is.

In fact, not going might be more harmful. Democrats in Wisc have complained about the lack of support from the Dem Party. These people have been on the front lines fighting off the Kock Brothers, and not just for their state. It is a super important election for Democrats. A win for Walker would be devastating.

The November Presidential election starts June 5th in Wisconsin as far as I'm concerned!!!

We do not need a defeat there... it will have disastrous effect.

The president can use that cow pie line again. So funny! And Biden can just be himself. I'm sure the people in wisconsin can relate to him. He can hoist some Old Style beer and he will be in!

It sure didn't help in Massachusetts in 2010.

The base is already fired up in Wisconsin. The segment of the electorate that probably needs cajoling is that so-called "independent" vote, and injecting presidential politics into a state's gubernatorial race might just well alienate many of them.

I think all this call for Obama to speak out (I get emails from him daily lately asking me to contribute to GOTV in Wisconsin and to support Barrett) is just a way of having someone to blame if (I say "if" not "when," but I'm afraid that is possibly so) things don't work out for the Democrats. I think it's about looking for a fall guy. And he will be the fall guy whether he goes there or not. Because nobody wants to believe that they can loose an election; it's nice to have someone else to pin it on.

I think if Walker survives, it's going to be because people were uncomfortable with the idea of recalls in general, not because this is a measure of public sentiment about one candidate or another.

He'd fire up the working class folks there. I don't know if Obama should though. In theory, I have no problem with it, but if Walker wins, then the whole thing will be seen as a referendum on Obama with video proof.

Joe is a regular guy who tells it like it is. There is not one thing about him that is phony or condescending. And he should take his marvelous wife with him. Jill is the shiznit and every bit as down to earth as Joe is.

If they boot him, we'll have months of why Wisconsin really wasn't important, after all.
