The Tea Party GOP cometh

Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.) said that Boehner had resigned because he knew that he could lose his position.

"There's no question conservatives had a victory here," he said. Huelskamp is a member of the House Freedom Caucus, the group that was trying to oust Boehner.

Across town, a group of social conservatives were gathered for the start of the annual Values Voter Summit, where dozens of politicians were scheduled to speak over the next few days. Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla) delivered the news of Boehner's resignation to the summit to huge cheers and a standing ovation from attendees, underscoring the opposition Boehner often faced from within his own party.

Asked about the resignation, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) skipped over the pleasantries and went straight to criticizing Boehner -- without naming him -- and McConnell for making promises to conservatives and not keeping them.

"I have long said leadership decisions are decisions to be made by the House, but I have also long called on Republican leadership to do something unusual, which is lead,” Cruz said at a press conference hosted by Liberty Institute.

going on behind the scene. The crazies have been on a full on destruction of the World Economy to replace it with a Fascist Single Party Libertarian POS. And blame it on Mr. Obama, this is what these Guys want, and then ensure there will never be a U.S. President of Color. If you ever want evidence, look no further than the States of Utah,Idaho, and Arizona.

The gerrymandering after the 2010 census has locked in GOP control over the House until after 2020.

Sad to say, the crazy is the new normal. All of Hillary's 1st term will be a GOP House.

And Dems better get control of more statehouses before then if they want to level the playing field.

Maybe I am being optimistic here but I think both Boehner and McConnell have done a fairly effective job at keeping the fringe right TP republicans at bay limiting their exposure which in turn has keep the true craziness of the TP out of the limelight for a majority of voters. With Boehner and potentially McConnell both vacating their leadership positions if a real TP republican like Cruz gets the position then the extreme positions the TP is based on will be on full display nightly in the news and perhaps it will wake up voters to just how far and extreme the TP really is...

But like I said maybe I am just being naively optimistic here.
