1. Teach a man to fish and he will demand a boat.
And then a net. There will be no end to it.

2. Give a man a fish,
and you've created a captive and ever-expanding market from which future profits can be leveraged into the foreseeable future. Teach a man to fish, and he'll stop taking your calls.

4. Didn't Jesus give people a lot of fish, as well as bread and wine?
He didn't teach people how to turn water into wine nor how to create bread either...Not very Capitalistic of him I guess.

6. You don't know how to fish?
Fishing is a very complicated matter. There being so many variables and differing situations involved in successful fishing, learning how to fish is a constant education.
Education,in its foundation, is a matter of socialism. |

8. Teaching people how to fish 'it's not anything' ? Is that what you really wanted to say?
because I can't wrap my head around that.
Depending on the context I can imagine teaching fishing is either vocational training, avocational training, or survival training. It's probably other 'things,' too. |

7. Conservatives don't believe in teaching a man to fish.
Conservatives believe in shouting, "Eat! Eat, you, poor lazy bastard!" to the hungry man and then walking away to get a bite to eat, all while remarking to each other, "That lazy bastard is starving to death. Serves him right for being so lazy."
