I'll take my lock without a ton of complaining

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Ptah (a host of the General Discussion forum).

But being locked for posting another DUers post to your locked thread, Verbatim, without adding a word of my own sucks-I was never told repeating someone else's EXACT words-and attributed-made me responsible for a juries perception of them.

It's specifically addressed in the SOP:

Statement of Purpose
Discuss politics, issues, and current events. Posts about Israel/Palestine, religion, guns, showbiz, or sports are restricted in this forum. Posts about the Democratic primaries, conspiracy theories and disruptive meta-discussion are forbidden. For more information, click here.

Although using "disruptive" is based off an opinion and different people have different views on what is disruptive.

I was, years ago, a 'host' on the old META forum (a soul-crushing experience).

I think they regard disruptive META as anything that tries to get around the rules and regs--for example, if a thread is locked, and someone cuts and pastes the locked thread into an unlocked one. Or if someone complains that they got locked out of the thread they were disruptively cutting/pasting the locked thread into.

Complaining about DU, pretty much, is 'disruptive meta.' If you start a thread complaining about DU, a host can lock it up. It doesn't count against the poster, it just prevents them from continuing on in a disruptive/divisive way.

I posted my complaint to the admins-as I should have to begin with-and though I may disagree with their call I will defer to it. We may all find ourselves pushing boundaries and in the end three guys I admire own the place.
