Palmer bragged to barmaid with photo of Cecil's face; 'I've killed the world's biggest lion.'
This report indicates that this took place last week, just before the news broke that he, Walter James Palmer, killed the iconic lion Cecil in Zimbabwe.

The disgraced American showed off the horrific image in a bar in Minnesota last week.
Palmer, 55, even boasted that he had broken a record for slaying the “world’s biggest lion”.
Shortly afterwards Palmer was forced into hiding due to international outrage over his killing of Cecil, one of Africa’s most famous big cats.
Bartender Danielle, who works at Doolittle’s Woodfire Grill in Alexandria, said: “He showed me the image of the lion on his cell phone.
“I was just like, ‘Oh’ when he showed it to me – I pretended I was interested but I really wasn’t.
"I didn’t really know what to say.
“He told me he had broken some kind of record for the biggest lion but I wasn’t really that interested – he is old enough to be my dad.
“Walter comes in here about once a month when he’s passing through but I guess we won’t be seeing him any more.”
The disclosure came as Zimbabwe called Palmer a “foreign poacher” and demanded his extradition from the US.

The other day it occurred to me that because of his prior poaching stunt with the black bear in WI, he is now a felon. That should mean that he can not own any firearms. I wonder if he is now the mighty bow hunter because he can't use guns to hunt. (I don't know if that holds in other countries or not)
Also thought it ironic that this jerk brags to the newspaper how he can hit a playing card at 100yards but he can't manage to make a clean kill on something the size of an adult lion.

Nothing wrong on the face of that, one might suppose. But the idea she married someone who is rich as Mom did; and for all we know, one of her father's pals, it seems too intimate.
Especially considering the dad's intense interest in sex and killing. I wonder if the Mom is one of those 'trophy' wives we used to hear about.

They own a million dollar home in Eden Prairie, MN, as well as a more remote million dollar home in Marco Island, FL. Then there is that 650-acre place he has where he is making Cecil's remains the centerpiece of his dead animal 'I'm the winner' Man Cave. His wife approves and has several hunting licenses, too.

A former employee told Daily Mail Online that the staff were friendly and affable but she couldn't wait to leave because there was a 'creepy, oppressive' atmosphere - similar to a library.
'They were all really nice there but he was a bit arrogant,' she said. 'He had animal heads in his personal office and animal print flooring.
'I remember the atmosphere was a little like a library, he liked everything to be really quiet. He would complain if he heard anyone laughing or making any noise.'

Most likely, I'm reading far too much into this, but there is a reason I don't associate with people like this in general. There are times when their family loyalty is detrimental to society. Nothing or no one, nor any law or ethics matter so long as they have what they want.

He's bragging that HE killed the lion?? The reports I've read said that the guides tracked down the wounded lion and they shot him. So this piece of shit braggart is also a liar on top of being an inept hunter and everything else.
Every time I see that photo of him shirtless and holding the dead leopard it makes me think of Putin. If I had photoshop skills I would stick this jerk's head on all of the shirtless Putin pictures. 
The hunting guide has just spoken out for the first time about what happened. (The clip is from the Telegraph, scroll below.) He says when they finally found Cecil, still alive, that Palmer then killed him with his bow and arrow. Puts what we've heard about using a gun into question.
It would certainly fit the evidence profile that Palmer would not have wanted to attract attention in this illegal location outside the protected park by using a gun. So, he used his silent bow and arrow, according to the guide.
We already know that Palmer considers himself "a purist".

As we see, it's all about world records for Walter Palmer and others just like him. Killing for carnal gratification and claiming “It is a way of honoring that animal for all time.” This reflects some serious pathology.
Now, to what the hunting guide said, since he's been released until his trial:

“We set off quite late, with the sun down, and found the carcass of an elephant which we dragged and moved into the long grass and used for bait,” he said. “We then established the ‘tree blind’ [a camouflaged hide made of tree branches and grass].
“Once we were established, and it was quiet, we first saw a lioness go past. And then a huge male – Cecil – came into view behind her. He was a magnificent animal.
“The client then fired using a bow and arrow, and it went away into the long grass. This was about 10 pm.”
Mr Bronkhorst said he had a sense that the lion was hit, but could not be sure.
“Bow and arrow wounds are different to gun wounds, and they don’t show much. But we couldn’t do anything that night.”
The four men went home for the night before returning to search for Cecil at dawn the next day.
“I was worried about the lion and what had happened,” said Mr Bronkhorst.
“We got there about 9am, and we found it and it was wounded, and the client then shot it, with his bow and arrow, and killed it.”
It was then the hunters went over to it, and saw it had a collar.
“I was devastated,” said Mr Bronkhorst, who immediately saw that he had killed a protected lion.
“I could not have seen the collar at night. We would never shoot a collared animal. I was devastated, and so was the client, we were both upset, and I panicked and took it off and put it in a tree.
“I should have taken it to Parks (the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlfe Management Authority), I admit that. So we did what had to be done. We took the head and skin, as the client had paid for the trophy.
“I went to Parks and reported what had happened. I wish I had taken the collar.
“We then went back to my place near Hwange. The client asked if we would find him an elephant larger than 63 pounds, [the weight of one tusk] which is a very large elephant, but I told him I would not be able to find one so big, so the client left the next day and went to Bulawayo for the night and then flew out (to Johannesburg) midday the following day.
“He was only here for a few days. He shot the lion he wanted to shoot, he paid for the trophy, which is the skull and skin. I took it to Bulawayo where we were curing it, prior to it going to a taxidermist for export to the US where it would be assembled and mounted. They do that better there then we do it here.”
Mr Bronkhorst said his lawyer advised him after the opening of the court case to hand over the head and skin to the parks authority.
“I never knew anything about Cecil, this famous lion,” he said. “I only found out from the media. I would not have known him anyway.
Mr. Palmer should be extradited to answer for this.
