Nick Hanauer, self-described "super-rich" entrepreneur, gave a pretty compelling TED Talk about how the middle classnot the super-richare the real job creators. But TED, which has released over 100 different political videos in the past, thought this one was too partisan and chose not to release it. We didn't notice any flaming partisanship in it. We normally love TED, and were surprised they didn't think this talk was TEDworthy.
Under pressure from the Internets, TED finally relented and released the video. Watch it and decide for yourself if it's really all that controversial to say that the "super-rich are not job creators." Then share it like crazy.

Those can be discounted in any number of ways.
Some from the 'inner circle' - it's a little different.
It's important to note - TED was aware of the content of his talk well in advance of when it was given.

(2,561 posts)Any honest economist will tell you that economies are demand driven. Businesses expand when consumers want to purchase their product or service.
When a lot of people are unemployed (little money to spend) there is little demand and no incentive for businesses to hire new employees.
This is so basic an economic fact that such a concept as tax breaks for the rich would automatically cause the creation of new jobs could gain traction is mind-numbing.
