Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker sent an email to his supporters on Monday describing his recently announced campaign for the White House as part of Gods plan.
The 47-year-old second-term Republican governor said in a fundraising email sent by the Scott Walker for America campaign that his decisions were driven by his faith in God, reported Right Wing Watch.
My relationship with God drives every major decision in my life. Each day I pray and then take time to read from the Bible and from a devotional named Jesus Calling, the email said.
As you can imagine, the months leading up to my announcement that I would run for President of the United States were filled with a lot of prayer and soul searching.
Heres why: I needed to be certain that running was Gods calling not just mans calling. I am certain: This is Gods plan for me and I am humbled to be a candidate for President of the United States, Walker said in the email.

Walker is at least the 4th or 5th one who has claimed that God told him to run.

Hmmm...so, either there is no god, at all.
Or just about everybody has a very different opinion of what god is.
Frankly I am disappointed that in 2015 the words god or jesus still come up, at all.

(14,733 posts)I'm surprised to hear about 'Jesus Calling', because with the way he treats Wisconsin, I would have pegged him for an Old Testament type.

(82,849 posts)I'd like to see our political journalists take you at your word, and ask you point-blank about that. Each and every time you get in front of a microphone or a reporter with a note pad, somebody asks you if your cowardly actions toward the Wisconsin protesters was duly informed by the Creator. Or how pilfering the wallets and slapping food out of the mouths of the poor comports with your Godly understanding. And so on.

(16,086 posts)but this is not the Jesus I was taught about in Sunday school...Jesus wasn't an advocate for over the top evil and bowing down to the richest men around.
But, maybe it has changed.
But LOL about him being "humbled" by anything, he's the most arrogant creature ever.
