No doubt, the irrational mind will pretend that "the only true liberal running" is objective analysis rather than a slur of exclusion... and then tortuously justify it as something neither insulting nor biased (i.e., holding others to a higher standard than one hold themselves to). Thus illustrating for all the power of bias.

The art of propaganda. "Treetops Propaganda."

"Treetops propaganda" is aimed at "the leaders of society". "Its immediate purpose is to set the terms of debate, to determine the kinds of questions that will dominate public discussion - in a word to set the political agenda in ways that are favourable to corporate interests." It includes the activities of think tanks, which produce, promote and disseminate market oriented "policy research", the pressures placed on government to introduce legislation and on academics to produce research that suits the corporate purpose. -- Alex Carey, via http://www.ratical.org/ratville/RiskDemo.html

The Washington Post ranked her as the second-most-likely to vote against her party. Most likely was Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.), who’s not running for reelection.

She’s voted several times with Republicans on environmental issues. She’s also co-sponsored a number of bills with Republicans, such as the Earmark Elimination Act of 2011 with Sens. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fl.), and she supports a balanced budget amendment.

She probably doesn't care though, as she probably knows that when her term comes up it will be time for her to move on to a revolving door promised her rather than bother trying to get reelected, which probably won't be very likely in today's climate where DINOs are going to be increasingly PROPERLY shown the door!

I can assure you that if all Hillary does is what Senator McCaskill has done here -- "He's a socialist!" and "He's unelectable!" -- then Hillary will lose.

Unlike Senator McCaskill, the American people want real substance.

He can veto on our behalf. And use executive orders. That is more than we have right now with our Harvard-educated, multimillionaire, wall-street-financed, lawyer president.

He can also educate the public about his policies - supporting Warren and others and perhaps changing the outcome of future elections.

So, to answer your question, he can do a lot.

independent man> Samsays •35 minutes ago

Senator McCaskill is a carbon copy of Hillary. A elite super rich, white privilege class member. Democratic Senators like her, also called Franklin D Roosevelt a socialist, when he fought for social security benefits and medicare, for the poor and elderly. These moderate dixiecrats, that like to wave their confederate flags, behind closed doors, belong in the Republican party.
Bernie Sanders is a true Democrat, that cares about all the American people, not the nasty politics of hate and division.
△ ▽

NameNames> Samsays •44 minutes ago

Hillary is a lying, former WalMart Board member, who also supports free trade, the NSA, war, debt and is in the pockets of the Wall Street crime syndicates.

Oh yeah, she also VOTED for the Iraq war - how any self respecting left wing American can vote for this monster is astounding.

She is a despicable sellout of humanity, and will do nothing for the people of America. While she is summering on the Hamptons she is assuring the .01 percent that she will be their gal on the Hill, humanity be damned.

133. Since when did "socialism" become a dirty word?
Thu Jun 25, 2015, 04:08 PM
Jun 2015

Considering social security, medicare, US highway projects, etc. are also socialistic andyet no one calls them that. I'm proud to be an American Socialist Democrat like Sanders. The narrative needs to stop. Which countries have, well, just about the best of systems out there for their people? That's the social democratic countries like Sweden.

Capitalistic democracies such as ours is survival of the fittest and if you don't fit in then you are a taker who is to be loathed and marginalized.

I don't like to track our country is on, has been on, since the 1970's

I think the reason they can't make it 'stick', is that people may even be ready for it, as they see someone who is honest, straight forward and fair....and smart!

I have yet to make up my mind, yet I see this as her making her choice. It may not agree with what some here wanted her to do, but still it is a choice and it is "HER" choice.

claire's and the other loyal Wall Street/Corp Wing members of the Dem Party's example on how I respond.

I will respond to them/their words, promises, predictions, speeches and advice with the same interest in the same way they have responded to the American people and most importantly...their constituencies......I wlll "slam the proverbial door in their faces"...additionally I can and will also pretend "they're not there"...as they do when we call...on big issues....in overwhelming majority support Or opposition to "XYZ".

It's only fair.

If Bernie is a socialist and his supporters are socialists, then why should they support Hillary, who is not a socialist, in the General Election? They should stay home. Who cares which non-socialist gets in?

While there are very important differences between the two candidates, the truth is that Sanders and Clinton voted the same way over 90% of the time.

I just got this email from Claire today...

Dear xxxxxx,

I haven't always made leaders in my party very happy, and I've stepped on some toes since coming to the Senate, but that's okay - I'm here to get results for you.

A new analysis by the Washington Post highlighted that fact when they ranked me among the most independent Senators - and one most likely to vote against my own party.

According to the analysis: ..."we looked at every vote taken in the House and Senate so far in the 114th Congress. We figured out the majority position for each party (in cases where it was not unanimous) and compared every member of each body's vote against the party majority." - Washington Post.

Here's a look at the results: (a chart showing among Democrats who vote "against the Party majority," she is #4)

During my time in the Senate, I've fought to cap federal spending, abolish unnecessary federal agencies and end Congressional earmarks. It's those battles, which consistently find me ranked in the moderate middle, that help me achieve concrete results for Missourians - to expand job opportunities, cut wasteful spending, and help clean up Washington so folks have a little more confidence in their federal government.

All the best,

P.S. It's your voice that matters most. Share your thoughts via email, or find me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

So it's interesting & illuminating who she is endorsing.

It must be horrifying to see someone else actually getting some traction.

Like '08 all over again except this time it's a wild haired older guy who has a sincere message

The best thing Hillary could do is to ignore him, and NOT trash him. It makes her team look petty and meanspirited..and that did not work well last time.

I only wish Bernie was a 50-something.. At his age, I doubt he could win..even though he's healthy .
