1. Welcome home, finally.
2. What took you so damn long? Do you think the other party is more in tune with your issue? Hardly!

(2,479 posts)That the pool of voters on the left, who have for whatever reason stopped voting as they see no real difference in their lives no matter which party is elected, is much, much deeper than that small slice of independents. I believe this is more true today than ever.
This is just one issue--if he'd actually begin to put some real difference between the parties, come out against the drug war, point out economic advantages to pursuing a different strategy, come out against the death penalty, add raising the minimum wage, adding single-payer, he'd rally his base like no other.
Sadly, he's still walking a tightrope of corporate money--so he can't be too liberal.
