Regarding the Judge who ordered Josh Duggar's

police report destroyed. If someone submitted an Open Records Request on her phones (land and cell) and email accounts - what do you think might show up? As a Huckabee appointee, do you think someone could find proof that Huckabee or someone linked to him was the one behind the order?

I would love to see a really hungry investigative reporter grab onto this story and dig in to find out whatever he/she can dig up on it and then blow Josh, his parents and whatever Republicans linked to them right out of the water.

1. The entire story has blown up in the Duggars' faces.

Including the favorable treatment by the cops and the judge, the "counselor" who is in jail now for his second time getting caught with child porn, the works.

This family will either insulate themselves further now from actual reality, withdrawing into their own little world, or break apart completely.

the oldest daughter who has remained unmarried. Every now and then you hear hints that she would like to break away from the family, If I were a book publisher I would try to find a way to talk to her away from the family to see what she would be willing to say publicly. If she was serious about wanting to break away from the freak show, a book deal might be considered, the lure of which would be to give her enough financial resource to start a whole new life.

3. While I don't doubt a Huckabee appointee would do as instructed by the Huckster, I don't think

they would have needed to make the call. I think the judge would have known to toe the party line and keep it from going out. Huckabee supporters are cult like.

I've read some are calling for the firing of the (female) police chief who released the Dugger report. She only did so after conferring with the city attorney who thought she was legally required to release it. (presumably she was worried about the privacy nature).

and haul them before the media and force them to tell their stories! That would be a huge win!!

Seriously, what is left to discover that wasn't in the online report? And if there's so much more, how exactly do you intend to go about uncovering it without further devastating the victims?

He is no longer in the home, has resigned from his job and their show has been pulled.

What more do you want?

5. Just because Josh Duggar is not

living with his parents does not mean that the remaining children are living in a safe environment. Nor does it mean that Josh's children are living in a safe environment.

What is just as important is bring to light an involvement that any Republican candidates have with groups like the Duggars and hammering home the hypocrisy of these candidates. These are dangerous people who have no business being in the White House. Imagine what they would do nationwide if given the chance.

Got it.

At what point do these girls become victimized all over again? Just curious.

had any help in the form of counseling or where they forced to take the blame for Josh's actions? A lot of child molesters were also molested themselves which raises the questions of was Josh molested? And if yes, by whom? The State Trooper who gave him a stern talk and who is serving time in prison as we speak? Due to the coverup my many who would have been deemed first reporters and the Duggar family there is no way to know if the remaining children and Josh's children are in a safe environment.

There is no doubt that this family needs to be thoroughly independently investigated by an agency that is not under the control or sway of Huckabee. There is no evidence what so ever that there has ever been anyone who championed the cause of the victims. In the absence of an independent investigation, there is no evidence that the molestation ceased or that all perpertrators have been identified. The Touching Little Children network appears to be looking for a way to continue to show without Josh. But how on earth could they continue the show with his enablers, his parents?

Any politician that shows more interest in defending a child molester/pedophile then in protecting the victims has no business in politics.

8. The question is; why is it important for YOU to know.

Of course every aspect of this sordid case needs to be thoroughly investigated, and proper punishment meted out for anyone who took part in the crimes and/or punishment. I certainly understand the desire to go after the huckster Huckabee since he is seeking the highest public office in the land. But parading the family into courtrooms for the benefit of tv or your "need to know" is just more salacious voyeurism. Just do the investigation, lock them up, and never see or hear from them again. I'd be fine with that.

9. So in other words, if parents will not protect their minor daughters
Mon May 25, 2015, 03:51 PM

it is no ones business. If mandatory first reporters do not report crimes they have been made aware of it is nobodies business. If the victims are further victimized by their own family that is nobodies business. One victim was not a family member and so the Duggars totally withheld the information from that girl's parents that is ok?

If there is one thing totally clear, it is that there will never be a through investigation of these parents by anyone in authority to make sure that all the children are in a safe environment. When the system that is supposed to be in place to safeguard children does not function are you really surprised that there are people clamoring for action?

You'll see that it wasn't withheld from the other girl's parents.

There are plenty of people involved in this for whom it is their business - the victims, the victims' families, the victims' spouses, the victims' children, etc.,

But it's not my business, it's not your business, it's not the business of the American public at large nor the business of the tabloid that violated these victims' rights by publishing a report that makes it obvious who these victims (juveniles at the time, and one still a juvenile) are.

Bringing down the Duggars and exposing their rank hypocrisy was not worth victimizing young these women again.

I saw a report that the judge had the report destroyed at the request of one of the victims.

You see some conspiracy theory because the judge ordered the records destroyed when normally such records are held forever. I see a case where I would bet my next paycheck that NONE of the other records related to juvenile sex offenses against other juveniles had ever been released for publication.
