Upon hearing that idiot Huckabee is standing by Duggar it reminded me of how he got Wayne DuMond sprung;
Huckabee wrote to DuMond in 1997, addressing the letter Dear Wayne, and saying that it was his sincere desire to see him released from prison. Huckabee wrote that while he could not offer clemency, he would recommend parole to the seven-member parole board.
Huckabee met privately with DuMonds parole board, during what was most likely an illegal meeting, held in violation of the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act.
Under pressure from Huckabee, the parole board voted to allow DuMond to move to Missouri, where he raped and killed at least two women, one who was pregnant with her first child.
Later Huckabee denied intervening in the case, but the evidence shows that hes lying about the role he played in getting DuMond out of prison. Members of his administration say otherwise. In 2007 several members of the parole board came forward to talk about DuMonds release.

OP
Apparently they thought that the fact that he was castrated made him less dangerous.

(14,040 posts)2. We also have Maurice Clemmons
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurice_Clemmons
Maurice Clemmons (February 6, 1972 December 1, 2009) was an American who was responsible for the November 29, 2009, murder of four police officers in Parkland, Washington.[1] After evading police for two days following the shooting, Clemmons was shot and killed by a police officer in Seattle.
Prior to his involvement in the shooting, Clemmons had at least five felony convictions in Arkansas and at least eight felony charges in Washington.[2] His first incarceration began in 1989, at age 17. Facing sentences totaling 108 years in prison, the burglary sentences were reduced in 2000 by Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee to 47 years, which made him immediately eligible for parole. The Arkansas Parole Board unanimously moved to release him in 2000. Clemmons was subsequently arrested on other charges and was jailed several times. In the months prior to the Parkland shooting, he was in jail on charges of assaulting a police officer and raping a child. One week prior to the Parkland shooting, he was released from jail after posting a $150,000 bail bond.
Clemmons' murder of four police officers represents the largest number of law enforcement officers killed by one man in a single incident in U.S. history.

This guy later went on to rape one child and molest two pre-teen relatives.

(18,470 posts)3. I didn't know about this case.
Huckabee is either really naive, really stupid, or really evil. I'm leaning towards the latter.

I find it very coincidental that the men he's known to have supported for release are violent sexual offenders.
