Zuckerberg wears a hoodie to a bankster meeting- and it pisses them off.

Zuckerberg’s Hoodie a ‘Mark of Immaturity,’ Analyst Says

Mark Zuckerberg is known for having arrived late for a meeting with prospective investor Sequoia Capital and giving a less-than-serious pitch while wearing pajamas.

Now, as Facebook preps its initial public offering, Zuckerberg’s wardrobe has not received much of an upgrade.

Wearing a hoodie to a meeting in New York on Monday with potential investors is a sign of Zuckerberg’s lack of seriousness, according to Michael Pachter, an analyst for Wedbush Securities.

“Mark and his signature hoodie: He’s actually showing investors he doesn’t care that much; he’s going to be him,” Pachter said in an interview on Bloomberg TV. “I think that’s a mark of immaturity. I think that he has to realize he’s bringing investors in as a new constituency right now, and I think he’s got to show them the respect that they deserve because he’s asking them for their money.”

a mark of 'immaturity' and 'lack of perspective'.
What's the matter, you think he didn't show you enough respect?
Get over it or get out of the business.

I've never seen him not in a hoodie. Why would you expect him to come to a meeting in a suit? That is not who he is and why should he give a shit what you think? He's worth a Billion dollars. They can go to hell.

It's sometimes pointed that that at a high level meeting, the richest and most powerful person is the room is usually the one that is dressed most casually.

It's sort of the reverse of the tradition of royalty/nobility wearing ostentatious garb. Now the most powerful person is the one who doesn't bother getting dressed up because people have to take him seriously no matter what he's wearing.

So they can go get FUCKED. He won. He can do whatever he wants. If they want to make money off the biggest social networking enterprise on the planet, they have to deal with Mark Zuckerberg and his hoodie. He should tell them all to choke on it.

Ummm, How did they earn this respect? Wait, they want to invest in one of the biggest internet phenomena in hopes they'll make money.
I don't know how accurate the film was, but "The Social Network" portrayed Zuckerberg as snarky, arrogant and full of himself. I loved it. He definitely has more than enough "fuck you" money, why should he conform. Next meeting I hope he shows up in a chicken costume.

peace,

because its founder showed similar disrespect to city officials by putting his feet up on the desk in the office.

So the guy took his act to nearby Cupertino. If the name "Cupertino" sounds familiar to you, it's almost certainly because of that guy -- Steve Jobs.

Facebook's got a limited lifespan just like MySpace (is that still around) and AOL (which lasted longer than I expected), Compuserve, Prodigy (remember Prodigy? There was a thing called Prodigy). I only log in about once a month and only to see if any old friends and acquaintances have tried to contact me. It's fucking different every time. I gave up trying to figure out what to do with it and seldom spend more than two minutes logged in.
