Shep Smith: GOP Is On ‘The Wrong Side Of History’ On Gay Marriage

Speaking shortly after President Obama announced his endorsement of same-sex marriage, Fox News anchor Shepard Smith suggested that Republicans were on “the wrong side of history” when it comes to the issue.

“I am curious whether you believe in this time of rising debt and medical issues and all the rest, if Republicans would go out on a limb and try to make this a campaign issue while sitting very firmly without much question on the wrong side of history,” he asked reporter Ed Henry.

RNC Chair: Obama ‘Played Politics’ On Gay Marriage

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement follwing news of Obama’s gay marriage decision:

“While President Obama has played politics on this issue, the Republican Party and our presumptive nominee Mitt Romney have been clear. We support maintaining marriage between one man and one woman and would oppose any attempts to change that,” said RNC Chairman

Reince Priebus.

7. Like a bad poker player

You'd better believe the Republicans are going to push all in on gay marriage, even when someone tells them to their face they're on the wrong side of history.

12. Like the RNC weren't going to attack Obama anyway

Doesn't actually matter what he did or said, the RNC (and Fox) were going to attack him as a SocialCommieNazi.
