"My life would be worthless without music."

"My life would be worthless without music", is taken as a direct quote from a young lady musician in the first video below. Straight from the slums of Paraguay, may I present a group of music loving kids known as the Landfill Harmonic Orchestra:

I watched in another video about these kids, their parents expected them to grow up to be poverty stricken trash 'recyclers' like they are. When this opportunity presented itself, these kid's parents did everything they could to get them the music lessons needed to hopefully break the chains of poverty. I like to think it is working.

He plays a tune from Bach's Suites for Unaccompanied Cello, which is one of my faves. BTW, they are not easy.

The Mozart wasn't bad either. Eine Kleine Nachtmusick. (sp?)

...I know very little about music-that said, it is important to me too. I suspect I am not alone in saying that music has played a significant factor in my life, from going to shows, listening on the radio, suffering through countless earworms and etc. I have in the past wondered if music on a subconscious level is more important to most of us than is religion because by and large we spend more time focused with it than we do with religion.

Regarding the transformation of these kids, I think it has already happened.
