What's more profitable, representing Americans while relying upon traditional Democratic values or representing the super-rich who shipped manufacturing jobs to foreign countries, who benefited from bail-outs at the expense of ordinary Americans, and who continue to support endless foreign wars?

How many average Democrats have truly come around to appreciating "the Republican point of view" instead of being repelled by it?

Not many.

So I don't know where he would get a contrary impression of bipartisanship or why he might favor that version over the prevailing one.
