Indiana Gov. Pence: "April Fool!"

Doubling over his podium with laughter, Indiana Governor Michael Pence congratulated himself with pulling off the year's best April Fool's Day prank at a hastily-called press conference.
"It was a joke -- a JOKE!" he managed to gasp out between guffaws. "I mean, I passed a theocratic GLBT discrimination law THE WEEK BEFORE APRIL FOOL'S DAY! I mean, how clueless can you get? If I'd passed it ON April Fool's Day, what would have been the humor in that? Everybody would have KNOWN it was a joke -- well, duh!
"So everybody calm down, and all you businesses who are threatening to boycott and run out on us can put their money back. You thought I was SERIOUS? Do you HONESTLY think that God DOESN'T have bigger things on his mind than two men or two women marrying each other? For Christ's sense, people, get a sense of humor!"
