1. Yeah, she's really awful
|
Edwards was stupid as hell not to wear a condom. Now there's a kid she tried to trap him with and failed because she's rotten.
The only one in this scenario who comes out as being decent is the poor kid, but growing up surrounded by egomaniacs, the chances of turning out OK are small. |

6. Edwards was just as awful to have the balls to ask a married friend to claim paternity.

Last edited Tue May 1, 2012, 03:51 PM USA/ET - Edit history (2) I wouldn't have lasted 2 wks if I had been put in her position and I wouldn't have let them use my house either. I would have quit and leaked the story out. How DARE he ask that of people who have supported him and believed in him for so long! I can't stand men who only think with their other head, and I don't buy the argument heard so often that 'powerful men have powerful needs and it's just expected that they get it wherever/whenever they can'. If my husband would have been stupid enough to claim paternity, there also would be a pretty quick and visible divorce.
Thankfully Edwards never made it to President! My first impression of him was a whiney a$$ pr_ck, but I really liked his wife and I wanted Kerry to become President so I looked past my first impression just like I was willing to look past Gore's VP pick too ---- grrrrrrr!!! I was asked repeatedly over a period of time to blur the accounting of moving funds where I worked. I refused to do it. When presented with an opportunity, I told the truth and provided documented backup. The culprit tried to blame the missing/misdirected funds on me and a coworker, but our names could not be associated with it at all (we signed no receipts, refused to accept any funds). After a thorough investigation of subpeonaed bank records, they concluded the culprit accepted the money herself, deposited the money into her own account, and withdrew the funds for personal gain. She was escorted out of work by police. She was our boss. My other coworker knew what was going on, but said he never would have reported it if I hadn't come along, even though he knew it was wrong. He thought he'd get in trouble for knowing about it for so long and not speaking up. |

5. I can't figure out why he chose to cheat with her?
|
Sometimes crazy people can have a certain charisma, but with all the women he met, why her? Maybe a self-destructive impulse?

9. You're assuming this was the first time he cheated.
|
It's been my experience that men who cheat once will either cheat again or have cheated before.
This is just the first one who got pregnant and can prove it. |

When there is too much interaction the attraction can begin.

13. I was always surprised anyone ever believed anything that came out of Edward's mouth

I'm a trial lawyer. Let me tell you, many of us are very strange people. (I'll put myself in that boat.) The two Americas thing was just an angle, and a lot of people bought it. People will believe almost anything. It still surprises me. I have to go to these conferences, continuing education etc. I can hardly stand these folks. Everyone bragging, looking for angles, deciding who they can use or suck up to.
Trial lawyers are almost as phony as politicians. God I wish there were some Sam Rayburns around anymore. |
