If you are against ACA you are against profits for insurance companies.

And we know the American Taliban aka TeaParTY are all for profits for the insurance companies, right?

Anybody remember the phone call message left for one of the House members back in 2010 when the law was being negotiated and fought over and it is a woman saying she doesn't want Obamacare because, and I quote "We love our insurance company, leave them alone"

So, what other reason could there possibly be for them to dedicate every waking moment of their lives to destroying a law that makes health insurance companies richer than they already are?

Especially mandating that your purchase from private insurance. The whole marketing of the "government getting in between you & your doctor" worked on a lot of people. A lot of tea party members are dumbasses.

and he got some credit for it. It doesn't matter that it was basically a republican approach that increased insurance companies' profits.

A whole lot of previously uninsured people have joined the marketplace, many with significant, unaddressed health issues. Now that so many significant health issues are being addressed, insurance companies will be feeling the impact via increased claims to be paid and the premiums aren't necessarily keeping pace. Hopefully this will even out, over the next 5 or so years. And I'm speaking from experience because I work for a non-profit insurance company that's really feeling the financial slam, right now. And we're not the only one.

Trust me when I say that my loud support for the ACA doesn't make me a golden child, at the office.

if done correctly.

You go to work for the new government entity, etc.

Would have to nationalize ALL hospitals also (or bring them into the system as not for profit), other than the ones who cater to rich people.

Make it so no physician can survive outside of dealing exclusively with very very rich people unless they participate within the system.

In other words if you want to rely solely on rich people paying you for your services, fine, but if you are licensed as a doc in USA you WILL participate in the system, period.

Make all education for the medical field free (should do it for all fields, all higher education) so docs dont have to overcharge as it takes them ten years to pay off loans.

etc
