I'm curious because I really don't think that we should judge people who are alive today based on the actions of their family in the past.

I get it, I understand where your coming from... But I have a hard time doing it.

I know what who my father was, I know who my grandfather was... But beyond that I don't have a clue and I bet there are some skeletons in that closet.

The Bush Crime Family and Kock family <-- major league evil dude.

And as far as I know, none of the current familial incarnations of that evil have
denounced their evil roots publicly.

Not that ice cream is so evil, or at least compared with what the bushes and koches do, but John Robbins of the Baskin-Robbins family publicly went vegetarian and denounced the dangers of fat/sugar in ice cream.

There are others--I just can't remember them at the moment.

Survival is often ugly or was up until recently in some parts of the world.

BIG difference.

And just imagine if it had been Michelle Obama who killed someone with her car like Laura Bush did. The point, to me anyway, is the blatant hypocrisy.
