Like in baseball as it refers to who might be up next.
For all the Hilary bashing, I see nothing but smoke and mirrors, period. SO, take a minute and look around the US political spectrum that is not Republican and tell me who, just who might be capable of beating the Republican nominee, money machine and experience base. Go ahead, scan the federal level, scan state governors and tell me who out there has the chops to do, get or be anything close to a Hilary. And, by the way, try to back it up with some real info (something more than a lot of the chest beating & whining I see here)..you know, research, links to reputable sources, the kinda stuff Republicans hate to do (or cannot do).
The deal is still 2 years away but we always begin this soon in this new era of corporate political money... long hard slog from now on. So, who is it going to be? Who has the chops ... national and international ... non-buffoonery, political and donation backing???
I'll be waiting over here while the crickets choruses sing.
I eagerly await some ideas beyond bashing, for a change.

(9,148 posts)Mrs Clinton has the votes. And the money & the voter support.
And she is ready for any smear campaign the Right will throw at her.
The more they attack, the stronger her base digs in their high heels..

(14,255 posts)Did you bring a chorus of crickets with you, when you joined here? Also, condescending jeering will not get you a good response. I think you know that. And it sure won't change the minds of the people who do not care to have Hillary as a candidate, and make them fall in line. I believe you know that, too.
Authoritarian jibber-jabber really does not get results here.
I was a Hillary supporter in 2008. I have since learned about the Third Way, and about things like the TPP. Cannot and will not accept those things, no matter how sternly I am told I must.

(39,346 posts)That's nothing. She could run a very strong race on the economy. FP, not so much, but her running mate choice would address that piece. The people who are hoping she runs aren't being foolish. She's credible.

(710 posts)WOW, the Hillary lovers are coming out in their troves to brow beat this forum into believing that this email story is a nothing, that just goes to show how worried these Hillary lovers are of this story.
Face it you third-way dems, this story has legs, Hillary at worst broke the law, and at minimum showed extremely poor judgment by using private email for all communications.
We are expected to believe that Hillary is turning over relevant emails, YET how can we be sure that she is turning over ALL relevant emails when we have no way of checking for ourselves?

(710 posts)No need for hope, the fact that this forum is starting to be dominated by threads from Hillary supporters trying to convince everyone that this email story is bogus shows the reality that you all know that Hillary is in trouble.
hahaha

(710 posts)Yes and last week it was us anti-Hillary dems that were worried about an inevitable Hillary nomination, that's why we flooded these boards.
But now the tables have turned, now it is you third-way dems that are worried about this email story destroying a Hillary nomination, that's why you are now dominating it.
The point being that if this story didn't have legs, then you would not need to dominate this board with threads trying o convince everyone that this is a non story.

(9,148 posts)Unless you mean the manufactured tall tale ones to begin the Hillary smear campaign by the Rabid Right, Teabillies & the KKKristian Fundys.
They will be throwing a lot out there.
The same people throwing the smears today are the same ones who tried to destroy the Clintons in Bill's day.
I am sure the Clinton's remember all their names and all their dirty games.
The ones that back then, told First Lady Hillary to shut up and do what all first ladies are sposed to do. Smile wave & stand behind your man.
This happened when she tried to talk about Health Care in this country.
She know well who they are today too.
In the end, the Rotten Right has nothing by dirty deeds to beat Hillary Clinton.
Later, have to get ready for the Emily's List speech.

(9,148 posts)isn't going to do it either.
Maybe next time. And be sure the GOP is digging deep and grabbing the media to spill it out there for them.
She's effin teflon.
Anxious to listen the great lady speak tonight at the honor of Emily's list.
MSNBC is broadcasting it I believe.
Krystal Ball will be reporting live from the Blue Dem Carpet at Emilys List's big event.
Plenty of our favorite Dem women will be there in support of Mrs Clinton.
Great night for her..and for all women, LGBT, minorities, young adults & children's health & education & business issues.
This is who Hillary Clinton is.
And why I support her.
Kudos & congrats to Mrs Clinton

"Too inexperienced."
"Too young."
"Not as qualified as Hillary."
"Too liberal."

(10,362 posts)Who out there is capable of beating Scott Walker?
Who is capable of beating Jeb Bush?
Who is capable of beating Ben Carson? Rand Paul? Rick Perry? Doesn't sound so terrifying now, does it?
Guess I don't think it will be particularly difficult. Demographics have trended hugely toward us since 2008. It's ours to lose so long as we don't nominate someone who has blown an insurmountable lead in the past, and who has a billion skeletons in her closet.
