ESPECIALLY more than the Blue Dogs.
I would put Bernie Sanders to the left of Roosevelt because of Roosevelt's views on native American land ownership and a few other issues. However, Roosevelt was pretty liberal for his time and by today's standards he's a Socialist by Republican standards.
And to think this guy was a Republican.

The Republican presidential candidate of 1860 was also quite a respectable fellow.
