Did anyone watch the White House correspondents’ dinner last night?...
Our president is pretty dang funny! Jimmy Kimmel was good too.
White House correspondents’ dinner: Where Hollywood, Capitol Hill shine The Washington Post Both Obama and Kimmel took their own shots at presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
“It’s great to be here this evening in the vast, magnificent Hilton ballroom,” Obama said, “or what Mitt Romney would call ‘a little fixer-upper.’ ” Said Kimmel: “When I think ‘Mitt Romney,’ I don’t think Etch a Sketch — I think of Twister. You can’t even play Monopoly with him, because he keeps putting the dog on the car.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/white-house-correspondents-dinner-where-hollywood-capitol-hill-shine/2012/04/28/gIQARk5XoT_story.html

1. I watched it and thought it was pretty funny

especially our President. He's an affable guy who happens to be as smart as a whip can sting.
Not a Steven Colbert but I thought that Kimmel was pretty good in his choice of who to sting. I think that Colbert raised the bar to a level that not many will ever be able to achieve but he's an extraordinary person. |

5. Colbert WHCD speech

Stephen's bit during the Bush dark ages was one of the most courageous acts of PATRIOTISM of any public figure in any of those eight miserable years.
And funny besides. We should all remember how oppressive and propagandized and fearful of our own government those years were for all of us. Any White House that lies to the entire world to have a unnecessary vanity war would surely not give it a second thought to murder those voices that disagreed with them. All it takes is one ride in a small plane. -90% Jimmy |
